Aaron is pleased to be part of the Grammy nominated 'Oh Happy Day - An All-Star Music Celebration' compilation album. 'Oh Happy Day' was nominated for a 2009 Grammy Award for 'Best Traditional Gospel Album.'

'Oh Happy Day' also features Jon Bon Jovi, Queen Latifah, Joss Stone, Al Green and many more. For this project, these world renowned musicians collaborated with some of today's top Gospel artists and choirs to record renditions of some of the most loved and recognized inspirational songs. Aaron Neville, The Weather Channel® (TWC), and social services organization The Salvation Army, are pleased to announce the release of “Holiday Party,” a holiday music compilation album. The CD features the single “Please Don’t Forget” by Aaron Neville, as well as holiday classics “White Christmas” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain” from his album “Christmas Prayer.” A portion of the proceeds from the single and the CD, both available by download from theweatherchannelmusic.com, will be donated to The Salvation Army’s Annual Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. Aaron made a special visit to the Salvation Army Center for Hope in New Orleans last week. Aaron met with dozens of children from The Salvation Army's Emerge youth development program and toured the facility. This visit marks the beginning of a season-long partnership with The Salvation Army and the new "Holiday Party" CD from The Weather Channel which will feature a new single titled "Please Don't Forget" by Grammy-winner Neville. A portion of the proceeds from the CD and single will be donated to The Salvation Army's Annual Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. Check out some photos of Aaron's visit.

Thanks to all my fans for coming out this Summer. I had a blast playing with my brothers and my quintet everywhere from Fuji Rock in Japan to B.B. Kings in New York City to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. It continues to amaze me how my music can touch so many people across the globe. I'll be kicking back for over the next few weeks writing new music and working on my new projects. Then back to it for a few special dates with The Neville Brothers in Florida in October.

Aaron has been asked to represent the US by singing our National Anthem at Fenway Park during the Boston Red Sox VS. Toronto Blue Jays MLB game this Friday Aug 28th. I recently had the pleasure of meeting one of my biggest fans in the world while in Charlottesville, VA. 15 year old Emilee, who is legally blind, has sent me notes and photos over the years letting me know how much she loved my music - This has always touched my heart!  It was so amazing to finally meet her in person, as well as her family.  They sent me this special poster they created of our meeting to share our experience with not just our families, but everyone out there! Enjoy.

Join Aaron Neville during a special summer tour including shows backed by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, a free show in Detroit and two intimate shows at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.

The US tour will begin on July 17th in Chicago for three special dates before for an extensive summer tour with The Neville Brothers. After The Brothers wrap up their tour Aaron Neville & His Quintet will regain their tour in Minneapolis on August 19th.

I've just returned from The Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco. The Mawazine Festival, is one of Morocco’s premier cultural events lasting a week long, with street shows, an exhibition by Arab artists and events for children. The Neville Brother's and I had an amazing experience at the festival and enjoyed every moment of our stay in Morocco. The Brothers represented New Orleans by playing a heavy set of funk for all the fans and locals who are able to enjoy the show for free. I am looking forward to heading back as soon as we can. Myself and The Brothers were also saddened by the news of a stampede at the festival a few days after our show. We would like to offer our condolences to all the families effected by this tragedy.  Such a sad ending to a great and beautiful cultural event.

As always I had a wonderful time being in my hometown of New Orleans for Jazzfest weekend. I want to thank everyone that came out to my Gospel set on Saturday and to the House of Blues for my first evening show during Jazzfest. It was an honor to play with my quintet featuring my brother Charles on sax.
