PINK SNOWFLAKE BALL
Posted by Cathy Williams - December 07, 2009 [ 18:48:53 ]
Hi Aaron, I know this is an impossible request. But my mother always said the least they can say is no.
My brother died in prison from a brain tumour in his 8th year of incarceration for murder. His terrible act of violence was due to alcohol and drug addiction. He was my brother and if he so much as caught a fly he would release it to the outside. At his memorial they held in the prison I played you singing "Please Remember Me". Then his fellow inmates sang Amazing Grace. To this day Amazing Grace brings me to tears. My brother my have chosen the wrong fork in the road but I love and miss him dearly.
The reason I'm writing? Well, I'm a Business Analayst by day with the local government and my spare time...I'm in the process of organizing the 3rd annual Pink Snowflake Ball breast cancer fundraising event for Feb. 27, 2010 in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. With the exception of my children, who know how much I love you, none of my friends have heard of you. I hold this fundraising event in memory of my friend, Brenda, who passed away 3 years ago from breast cancer. I would love for you to sing "Please Remember Me" at my event which entertains over 300+ guests. If I ever past on I would want everyone to "Please Remember Me". That's my dream...I know it won't happen but I had to ask. If nothing else then to let you know how you're music has touched my soul.
Thanks Aaron
